Long Island Robbery Suspect Who Punched Victim At Large, Police Say

A man allegedly punched his victim multiple times on Long Island as he attempted to steal his bicycle, police said.

An alert has been issued by Suffolk County Police investigators as they attempt to identify and locate a suspect who allegedly attempted to rob a person of their bicycle in April last year.

Police said that the suspect punched another person repeatedly and attempted to pull him off a bicycle at Raynor Park on Ronkonkoma Avenue in Ronkonkoma.

In photos released by police, the suspect can be seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt that identified him as a lifeguard that was from Orlando, Florida.

Anyone with information regarding the alleged assault and attempted robbery, or the suspect, has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or submitting an anonymous tip online.
